Stay on budget during this winter season!
On Thursday November 9th, 2017, PCDC Program Manager Ping Lee and Housing Counselor Can Peng attended Energy Coordinating Agency (ECA) Conference at Temple University Student Faculty Center to learn about current trends in energy efficiency, including discussions surrounding health and energy, workforce development in the building science and retrofitting industries, and program updates from local utilities.
PCDC shares this information in weatherization workshops to help the community understand the importance of weatherization and how to DIY with low cost materials. Four workshops were conducted in November and total of 55 attendees learned how to conserve energy to achieve their goals of staying on budget during the high energy usage winter season. The workshop on November 21st was presented by guest speakers, Sakinah Lester and Joe Filipski from New Kensington Community Development Corporation (NKCDC). They passed out 20 giveaways to the attendees so they can do their own weatherization at home.
If you missed this opportunity and would still like to learn how to conserve energy and stay on budget, please join us at our December weatherization workshop.
