Free Summer Camp at Drexel for 5th – 7th Graders with Camp BRIDGE
Drexel University is offering free summer camp from July 31st to August 11th this summer for students in grades 5 to 7. The camp runs from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM daily at the LeBow College of Business, 3220 Market Street. Breakfast, lunch, and a snack are provided. Camp BRIDGE stands for Building Relationships In Diverse Group Settings. Students will learn public speaking and financial literacy, creativity and critical thinking, team building and leadership, and more.

On Lok Center Receives Art Grant from Pennsylvania Department of Aging
As part of Governor Wolf’s ongoing commitment to providing programs and services that help older Pennsylvanians lead healthy and dignified lives, the On Lok Senior Center was awarded a $5,000 Senior Community Center grant through the Pennsylvania Department of Aging.
The grant fund will be used to support a Chinese Brush Painting class at On Lok taught by celebrated brush painter Josephine Tsai, a founder of the Chinese Brush Painters and Calligraphers Society. The project will provide our seniors with a creative outlet and preserve and promote Chinese culture. On Lok house is currently enrolling younger volunteers to support the class and cultivate cross-cultural connections. An exhibition of the student’s art works will be held at the end of each session year. Classes begin in August. Registration opens July 2017; please look for an announcement from On Lok Senior Center. Seats are limited so early registration is advised. PHLpreK enrollment began June 19th for classes beginning in September!

the website: http://www.phlprek.org/programs/ The City of Philadelphia launched a new program called PHLpreK that could be right for your family. PHLpreK covers the cost of school day and school year and there is no income eligibility, or work requirement, the only requirements are:
- You reside in Philadelphia
- Child(ren) must have turned three or four by September 1, 2017.
It’s a free program here to help your child meet his or her growing needs. Please join us in spreading the word. Families interested in enrolling should act quickly!
