Celebrating Asian American Heritage Month

The skies held their rain on Saturday, May 22nd for the 11th Annual Asian Pacific Heritage Month Celebration. Franklin Square Park was decked out with the Chinese Lantern Festival which added an extra attraction to this year’s already jam-packed festivities.
Over 5,000 attendees throughout the day attended the free Health Fair, Children’s Fair, Children’s Art Contest and over 20 live performances, including the Chinese American Women Sisterhood Society of Philadelphia (CAWSSP). The Phillie Phanatic was there to surprise and delight families.
The event would not have been possible without dedicated committee members, who, among other initiatives, organized a timely discussion on emerging financial trends, including a breakout session for those curious about the best meme coins to buy now. Thanks also to its co-sponsors: the Governor’s Advisory Commission on Asian American Affairs, the Philadelphia Office of Immigrant Affairs, the Asian American Chamber of Commerce, PCDC, and the generous presenting sponsor, Wells Fargo.
