what we do

Neighborhood Advisory Committee

The Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC) Program helps residents learn about City programs that could benefit them.

The Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC) is a program under the Division of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) of the City of Philadelphia. NACs work to connect residents with City programs that can improve their quality of life.

NAC-Program

Our initiatives focus on:

  • Supporting neighborhood sustainability
  • Preventing homelessness
  • Preserving affordable housing
  • Reducing energy costs
  • Developing job skills
  • Mentoring youth
  • Encouraging community engagement

We share important updates and resources through Service Area Briefings (SABs), newsletters, social media, and other community outreach efforts.

As a NAC, PCDC is dedicated to building connections with Chinatown residents and helping them access the City’s programs and services. For more information, please contact our office at (215) 922-6156.

Neighborhood Advisory Subcommittee (NAS)

PCDC’s Neighborhood Advisory Subcommittee (NAS) is a group of Chinatown residents and stakeholders elected to represent the community and connect residents to City programs and resources, including SNAP, utility assistance, mortgage assistance, tax assistance, and more.

NAS members collaborate to improve local quality of life through community education, advocacy, events, and initiatives. As part of PCDC’s NAC Program, they provide a platform for civic discourse and help connect residents to essential City programs and resources.
