Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation

PCDC is a grassroots, non-profit, community-based organization. Since 1966, its mission has been to preserve, protect, and promote Chinatown as a viable ethnic, residential, and business community. For over 50 years, as a leading active civic community organization, PCDC has brought the many complexities of Chinatown to the attention of city, state and federal agencies. In 1974, it initiated the first master plan for Chinatown. In 2004, it managed the process of completing the Chinatown Neighborhood Plan, which included the Callowhill neighborhood. As the only affordable housing developer in Chinatown, PCDC has built 320 units of mixed-income housing and 23 units of commercial space. Today, PCDC continues to represent Chinatown in matters of development and planning.
