Community News:Ping An House Updates

PCDC has recruited a volunteer, Lisa Li, to conduct a computer class in Francis House of Peace, Ping An House starting on May 17th. The computer class will be conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday every week from 1 PM to 3 PM.

On Friday, May 20th, staff and volunteers of PCDC were out at Philadelphia’s City Hall registering and educating voters and informing passersby about Chinatown.

Main Street:Celebrating Asian American Heritage Month

The skies cleared just in time on Saturday, May 7th for the 10th Annual Asian Pacific Heritage Month Celebration. Franklin Square Park was decked out with the Chinese Lantern Festival which added an extra attraction to this year’s already jam-packed festivities.

Community News:Treerific Wrap-up to Tree Giveaway

On Saturday May 7th, 2016, PCDC hosted its first free tree giveaway event at the Asian America Heritage Celebration (AAHC) at Franklin Square. 50 trees with species ranging from Pagoda Dogwood, Cornelian Cherry, Apple Serviceberry, American Hazelnut, Apple, Santa Rosa Plum to Tilton Apricot found homes in Philadelphia.
